We're heading into the holidays, but don't abandon your health goals. On Thanksgiving Day alone, most Americans consume 2¼ times the recommended intake of calories and 3½ times the fat, according to the Calorie Control Council. "While it's OK to indulge a little during the holidays, just keep in mind that your goal is long-term health. Don't let the one day of play ruin the great health habits that you have been creating," says Rick Henriksen, MD, a family doctor at University of Utah Health.
